EU Social Older People
By 2025 more than 20% of Europeans will be 65 or over. In 30 years there will be 150 million older people living in the EU. Where will you live? What kind of shape will you be in? Will you still be healthy and independent?
The European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing is pilot scheme that aims to increase the average healthy lifespan of Europeans by 2 years by 2020, by improving health and quality of life (with a focus on older people) and ensuring health and social care systems are sustainable and efficient in the long term.
