Germany-based Bominflot, Bomin, has been granted a contract by the Spanish Ministry of Defence to provide assistance to Spanish military aircrafts at the Brussels airport and other places. According to what has being published in the official journal, Spain will pay EUR 0.0 to Bominflot for its services.

 

Bominflot is actually carrying out operations of bunkering (fuel supply to vessels) at/from the port of the Spanish city of Ceuta in Northern Africa and has also a branch in Gibraltar, Bominflot of Gibraltar Ltd., where operates as a subsidiary of Bomin.

 

This bunker provider and oil trader was founded in 1976 as a German-Russian joint venture supplying bunkers, lubricants and spare parts to the entire former Soviet fleet. The collapse of the Soviet Union forced it to become into a worldwide trading company. It is based in Hamburg, Germany, with an additional office in Nakhodka, Russia. It also has branch offices in the Americas and the Far/Middle East. As of June 1, 2012, Bomin Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG operates as a subsidiary of Mabanaft GmbH & Co. KG.

 

Bominflot is an specialist on trading with high sulphur fuels (mainly from Russia), cheaper than those with low sulphur content but with limited possibilities of commercialization in the Single Market.
